How long will it take?

Types of Bonds
Own Recognizance (OR)
This is also called a Signature Bond. The Judge may let the defendant sign a promise to appear in court and release them out of jail. This happens with minor crimes if there is limited risk of them not showing up for court. The Judge is the only one who can decide.

Cash Bond
The Defendant may be able to pay the Full cash amount of the bond set by the judge. This is done without the use of a Bail Bondsman. This is often used for defendants that are considered a 'high risk'.

Property Bond
The defendant may use his own property to post bail such as a car title or house deed. The property Value should be twice the amount of the bail.

Professional Bondsman/ Bonding Company
Also known as a SURETY Bond. This is a bond that you can use a bail agent/bail bondsman for the amount of the bail set by the judge. The bail bondsmen company agrees to pay the bail money and charges the defendant with a fee, which is usually about 10 percent of the bail.

  • Is in good standing with the law
  • 2 Years of verifiable employment
